U11’s in Garryowen Match Report April 7th 2018

  • April 17, 2018

The u11s travelled to Garryowen last Saturday the 7th for what has become our annual end of season trip to the Neville Furlong Pan Munster Rugby blitz. The conditions on the day were perfect, allowing for high tempo, offloading rugby and that’s exactly what Killorglin served up. The squad played 6 twelve minute games. We scored 17 tries in that period and only conceded 7. Tries were scored by Mio, Aaron, Callum, Adam and Rioghan. Tackling on the day was excellent with Jack, Alex, Callum, Rory, Deirdre, Aaron, Mio and Adam particularly prominent. Dylan, Rory, Eli, Dan, Mio, Sean, Cormac and Cian seemed to be in every second ruck. There were some great runs by Rory, Dan, Alex, Sean, Rioghan, Deirdre, Adam and Cian. There were also some strong carries by Zac, Cormac, Dylan and Jack. Excellent passing and offloading was evident in every game, Cian, Rioghan, Dan, Eli, Deirdre, Alex and Sean in particular showing some lovely skill on the day. The squad beat teams from Garryowen and Highfield amoungst others on the day. Thanks to Garryowen for hosting such a welcoming and well run blitz. Finally we’ll done to all members of the squad. They were great ambassadors for KRFC, showing respect for referees, opposition, their coaches and each other at all times.
