Weekend Report February 5th 2017

  • February 7, 2017

This past weekend was light on game for KRFC with only our U18’s in action.

U18’s

Killorglin started the better and came very close to scoring. However Garyowen broke away to score a good try followed shortly by another. Killorglin bossed from next restart and a chip by Darragh O’Shea was gathered by himself, passed to the supporting Padraig O’Sullivan who dived over. Unfortunately for Killorglin Garyowen were stronger in the backs and exploited this several good tries before Killorglin rallied strongly to score following repeated pressure through Darragh O’Shea. This was the last score of a game that wasn’t as one sided as scoreline. Our lads played there hearts out with limited numbers traveling to the game, they should be very proud of the effort they put in.

Seniors

Our Seniors were set to play Killarney RFC this past Sunday in their last regular season game. Killarney’s pitch was deemed unplayable so the game was canceled. This game has been refixed for this Sunday February 12th at 2:30 pm at Killarney’s grounds in Aghadoe. If their pitch is still unplayable the game will be moved to Ballymalis for a 2:30 pm kick off. It would be great to have a big crowd to support the lads as they look to finish out a great season.
