Senior Team Player Of The Year 2016/2017

  • April 17, 2017

The Eanna Curtayne Memorial Trophy for Senior Team Player of the Year Award was awarded last week to Luke O’Shea.

Luke has been a constant rock at out half for the senior side this year, he was extremely committed at training, an influential leader, he pushed others to be better and his ability to step up to the ball and nail an important kick was incredible. Luke was a major contributor to the teams success this season and we hope that success continues in the 2017/2018 campaign.

The Eanna Curtayne trophy was awarded to Luke by Eanna’s father, Enda Curtayne. It was a special moment for Luke as a cousin and former teammate of Eanna. Luke also spoke highly of the honour it was to receive the award with Eanna’s name on it, he has fond memories of playing with Eanna and highlighted Eanna’s commitment and dedication to the game.

Luke was humbled in the acceptance of the award and paid tribute to his team and the success they enjoyed this season.

The club congratulates Luke and the rest of the team for the fantastic effort they put forth this season
