Killorglin played Tralee in the Kerry Cup at home on Sunday in their first game of the season.
Killorglin struck first off a scrum with a great carry from Jamie O'Leary who laid it off to Roan O'Shea who crashed under the posts for our first try, converted by Tom Garry.
Tralee hit back 7 minutes later with a try in the corner to leave it 7 - 5.
Killorglin settled themselves from the kick off and with some great carries from Ronan O'Connor and Jerry McCarthy we won a penalty.
James Byrne kicked to the line and from the lineout Killorglin attacked with Barry Sheehan powering over the line for our 2nd try. Converted by Tom Garry.
Killorglin attacked from the kick off, but Tralee absorbed the pressure and scored a breakaway try from inside their own half to leave it 14 - 12 to Killorglin.
Two minutes before half-time Tim Riordan took a great ball in the lineout and our backs carried to the 10m line. The fowards took over, putting pressure on the Tralee defence with Stephen Cotter crashing over the line to leave the half-time score 19 - 12 to Killorglin.
Tralee started the 2nd half strong and struck first with a try on the wing, not converted.
Killorglin piled on the pressure from the kick off and won a penalty from the line out. James Leslie powered over for his first senior try on his debut to leave it 24 - 17 to Killorglin.
Tralee struck next with a converted try to level the game 24 - 24.
Again Killorglin settled and put the pressure on Tralee and off a line out, we put the ball wide for Tom Garry to run in the winning try, which he converted to leave the final score 31 - 24 to Killorglin.
